Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI)
The Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) is a membership organisation that encourages the responsible sourcing of minerals globally. The RMI's Social, Environmental, OHS and Governance Risks (Facility Standard), provides a set of criteria for facility level assessment, applicable to mineral processors, smelters and refiners, including those integrated with mine sites. Its significantly extends the RMI's scope, as occupational health and safety has been identified as its own functional area, separate from social issues, due to the specificity of the associated criteria and requirements.
Issues pertaining to the operating Facility’s supply chain are excluded from the scope of this Standard and are addressed under the RMI Supply Chain Due Diligence Module Plus. The Supply Chain Due Diligence Module Plus applied to Downstream, Processors and Upstream Facilities.
Compare multiple standards or benchmark your own standard, code of conduct or businesses activities against those of the RMI Facility Standard for Social Environmental OHS and Governance Risks.
