The Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) is a cross-industry initiative focused on advancing responsible mineral sourcing across global supply chains.
The RMI Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining (ASM) Cobalt Normative Framework covers a progressive-improvement pathway that includes environmental; social; and governance (ESG) criteria to transition informal operations toward international standards. The Framework applies exclusively to ASM operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
