| Enforcement Timeline | 2027: The first companies will need to comply with the Directive's obligations. This applies to EU companies with over 5,000 employees and a net worldwide turnover of more than €1,500 million, and non-EU companies with a net EU turnover of more than €1,500 million. 2028: The next set of companies must comply, which includes EU companies with over 3,000 employees and a net worldwide turnover of more than €900 million, and non-EU companies with a net EU turnover of more than €900 million. 2029: All other in-scope companies, including EU and non-EU franchisors/licensors, will need to comply with the Directive's obligation |
